It was great to see many familiar faces at the Namm show last month! Thanks for dropping by to visit.

The Guitarist's Jam System

Watch & Learn, Inc. originally concentrated on beginning products that showed the student, in a very clear manner, both the fundamentals of playing their instrument as well as how to play a few songs. Now that we have accomplished this goal, we have been focusing on products that take the player to the next step, playing along with other musicians. We have an excellent Tablature Book, Chord Book, Scale Book, as well as the Let’s Jam CDs, and now, to tie everything together, there's the Guitarist’s Lick Book and Lick DVD.
These are possibly the two best products we’ve done. Most lick products are actually random collections of licks with no explanation of how to use them or even what key they are in. The Lick book and DVD shows how to build licks from scales and then shows the guitarist how to play these licks with some jam-along tracks. With the addition of these lick products, this system really is a comprehensive course on how to play guitar.
Not only will you sell more Let’s Jam CDs and Scale Books, but your customers will actually learn to play guitar and will return to purchase more products from your store. The parents of the 15 year old hear him playing licks along with the CDs and they think he’s the next Eddie Van Halen. Then they come back to your store to buy extra gear and maybe even spend $500 on a new guitar for a birthday or Christmas. So the results of this teaching system far exceed just the immediate profit off the products themselves.

Snare Drum Rudiments DVD for back to school band rentals.

Guide to Snare Drum Rudiments DVD
by Tim Wimer is a 60 minute DVD that teaches the 26 essential rudiments required by school band programs. It starts with setting up the snare, holding the sticks, tuning the snare, and achieving a good sound. It then covers each rudiment in detail, demonstrating it slowly and then playing it as would be required in auditions (open, closed, open). Our unique split screen shows both hands in detail, with notation on screen and a bouncing ball type pointer showing each note as it's being played. This is the ideal DVD for the band student who wants to succeed. It retails for $14.95 and your cost is $8.50. As an introductory special, if you order 6 or more, they are $7.50 each.
